Emirates ID delivery tracking has two stages: check the application with ICP, then track the physical shipment using the delivery company and shipment number provided for your card. A PRAN or Emirates ID number used on an application-status page is not automatically the courier’s tracking number.
If your application is still being processed, start with ICP. If the card is printed or handed over and you have a shipment notification, follow the delivery or collection instructions in that notification. This guide focuses on that handover, missing tracking details, and collection problems.
Which number do you need?
| Task | Reference to use | Where to check |
|---|---|---|
| New-card application status | The application/request number on your receipt. | ICP’s status or application-tracking service. |
| Renewal or replacement status | The reference accepted by the ICP service; its ID Card Status page also accepts an Emirates ID number for these applications. | ICP. |
| Shipment movement | The shipment, consignment, or air-waybill number assigned for delivery. | The delivery company named in the notification. |
| Branch collection | The collection reference and documents specified in the notification. | The designated collection branch or delivery provider. |
Use the number exactly as shown on your own receipt or notification. Avoid tutorials that insist every application reference has one fixed prefix or digit count: the appropriate reference depends on the service and application channel.
Step 1: check whether ICP has progressed the application
- Open ICP’s official ID Card Status page.
- Enter the application number requested by the form. For renewal or replacement applications, the page also specifies the Emirates ID number as an accepted input.
- Complete the displayed verification and submit the enquiry.
- Read the status and any action or delivery information attached to your request.
If the public enquiry does not find the request, ICP’s current FAQ also describes checking My Applications / My Requests in your own account or using Smart Services application tracking. A typing centre or employer that submitted the application can help you locate the correct receipt.
For the broader application task, see our Emirates ID status-check guide. For this delivery task, remember that printed does not mean delivered: a physical card must still be handed over through the selected delivery arrangement.
Step 2: track the physical Emirates ID card
- Check the contact channel registered with the application for a delivery or collection notification.
- Identify the delivery company, the shipment reference, and any named branch or address. Use the assigned provider rather than assuming every shipment has the same route.
- If Emirates Post is the provider, open its official Track a Package service and enter the shipment number.
- Read the latest event, its date, and the location or instructions supplied for that shipment.
- Follow the stated collection or delivery steps. A tracking event is more useful than a generic estimate copied from another applicant’s experience.
An application number entered into a courier tracking field may return no result because it identifies a different part of the process. If no shipment reference has been assigned yet, there may be nothing for the courier’s tracking system to find.
How to interpret a delivery event
| Stage or situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| ICP processing or action required | Resolve the application issue with ICP or the submitting party. A courier cannot finish an incomplete application. |
| Card printed, no shipment notification | Check the registered contact details and ask ICP or the submitting party for the delivery reference. |
| Shipment received by provider | Use that provider’s tracking events and instructions. |
| Ready for collection | Confirm the designated branch, opening hours, reference, and identification requirements before travelling. |
| Delivery attempted | Contact the assigned provider about the next attempt or permitted collection option. |
| Delivered, but you do not have it | Ask the provider to confirm the recipient and handover record; check an authorized reception desk or employer only where relevant. |
Collecting an Emirates ID through Emirates Post
Emirates Post publishes a dedicated Emirates ID collection service. Its instructions refer to the application number and the selected P.O. Box or designated branch arrangement; it also explains that a card can be transferred to a branch that handles ID delivery.
Follow your own notification and confirm the card is available before visiting. Do not assume you can collect it from any branch merely because that branch is close to home. Check what identification or authorization the provider requires if someone else is collecting for you.
The page lists no fee for that collection service. That does not establish the price of every home-delivery option or the fees for issuing, renewing, or replacing an ID card.
Missing tracking number, no update, or the wrong address
- No receipt or application reference: ask the submitting typing centre, employer, or your own ICP account for the record.
- No shipment number after printing: check SMS/email and the request details, then ask ICP or the submitting party to identify the delivery arrangement.
- Wrong registered phone: correct it through the applicable official process. Our Emirates ID mobile-number guide explains that separate task.
- Courier shows an exception: give the provider its shipment reference and ask what address, contact, or collection step needs correction.
- Card shown as delivered: request the delivery details promptly. Do not publish your ID number, address, or application receipt in a public comment while seeking help.
ICP’s status page lists 600 522 222 for enquiry help. For an Emirates Post shipment, use its official contact channels, which list 600 599 999. Give application questions to ICP and shipment questions to the provider that holds the card.
Frequently asked questions
Can I track delivery with my Emirates ID number?
ICP accepts an Emirates ID number for specified renewal/replacement status enquiries. Courier tracking normally needs the shipment reference assigned to the delivery. Follow the field label and your notification.
Can I track a new ID with only my passport number?
The public ICP ID Card Status page asks for its listed application or ID references. Do not confuse passport-based visa/file enquiries with card shipment tracking. Recover the application receipt if that is what the service requires.
How many days after printing will delivery take?
There is no single delivery time that this guide can promise for every application, provider, and collection route. Use the official request information and the shipment’s current events.
Does “printed” mean the card is ready to collect?
It means production has reached that stage. Wait for the relevant handover or collection information and confirm availability with the designated provider.
What if I cannot collect it promptly?
Contact the designated provider about its current retention and return rules. Do not rely on a universal 90-day deadline or assume every returned card follows the same replacement process.
